Environment/Conservation General Grants
General Environment/Conservation grants, represented in the figures above, were awarded for a variety of purposes reflecting the diverse interests and political viewpoints of individual trustees: natural resource conservation, ecosystem restoration, animal welfare, gardens and parks, and environmental health and justice. Relatively modest in size, these grants are complimentary to the objectives of the Foundation's Special Initiative in Environment.

To review grants awarded under the Foundation's Special Initiative Environment, please go to the Special Initiatives web page, or click here Environment Special Initiative.

Note: These categories are consistent with The Foundation Center's Grants Classification System (a system developed by the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities to classify all organizations considered as tax exempt under certain sections of the IRS code).
